The Siberian Tiger is native to northern Asia
and even inhabits the Arctic regions of Asia.
Its fur is the same color as that of other tigers,
but it is especially long and thick, which protects
the animal from the severe cold. Zoologists think
that the tigers of India and other parts of
southern Asia migrated long ago from the
Arctic sections of Asia.
When pressed by hunger and incapable of dealing
with larger prey, such as deer or horses, tigers
prowl around villages and having once tasted human
flesh, they become confirmed maneaters.
