Effects-
Hepatitis B can cause permanent liver damage
Transmissions-
-Hepatitis B can be spread during vaginal, anal and/or oral sexual intercourse
-Spread by sharing dirty needles, to inject drugs or any other reason
-Spread by contact with infected blood
-During child birth
Treatment-
Hepatitis B is not curable
Prevention-
-Abstain from having any sexual contact unless you know the other persons health statis
-Get checked for any STD's
Statistics-
-There has been 140 thousand to 320 thousand infections in a year in the U.S.
-70 thousand to 160 thousand are symptomatic infections in one year
-Incidence increased through 1985 and then declined 55% through 1993
